He who writes, never dies!Incised patterns on stones, shells and bones, sand drawings or messages on birch bark: even our ancestors felt the need to communicate with simple or more complicated signs. And we still do the same today! Whether with a stylus, fountain pen or smartphone - all over the world, we send each other thousands of messages every day and record our thoughts in writing. In a tongue-in-cheek graphic novel style, this book follows the development of over 100 scripts from all over the world, from the beginnings to our computer age: from cuneiform to ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics and from the Greek alphabet to emojis and artificial scripts such as Klingon.
