Product Information

Martin Luther, an Augustinian monk and professor of theology, was the initiator of the Reformation. He found in God's promise of grace and justification through Jesus Christ alone the essence of the Christian faith. On this basis he wanted to eliminate the misguided developments of the Roman Catholic Church at that time with the sale of indulgences and restore it to its original Protestant form. Contrary to Luther's intentions, a schism in the Church came about from which Protestant-Lutheran churches and, in the course of the Reformation, other denominations of Protestantism emerged.

In his work Ludwig Nohl writes about the life of his fellow countryman Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart beginning with travelling in his childhood and youth around Europe until his marriage with Constanze Weber and his tragic death. As it is often the case Mozart was only insufficiently regarded throughout his life but is a gift to following generations that we can be grateful for. His biography is also concerned with his great works without getting to scientific. Quotations from numberless letters by Mozart paint an image of the composer who maintained a certain childish naivety in his life. Ludwig Nohl: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Biography.
