Fairytales by Hans Christian Andersen
As the son of a poor shoemaker and an alcoholic laundry woman Hans Christian Andersen could barely go to school until the Danish King Friedrich VI, who recognised his talent, enabled him to go to Latin school and university. A view of the world in the eyes of a child is characteristic for Andersen's work. On his journeys to all of Europe he was inspired to make lively, impressionistic studies that can be seen in his works. In the miniature edition there are a lot of Andersen's tale to enjoy.
