Karl May (1842 - 1912) came from a weaver family and lived in severe poverty for the first few years of his life. One of his first stories was published in 1874. Afterwards numerous works with famous figures such as Winnetou, Old Shatterhand or Old Firehand. His adventure novels have been translated into 33 languages so far and reached a total circulation of more than 200 million. By arrangement with the Karl-May-Verlag we publish with "Old Firehand" the first miniature edition which follows the great original in its design and illustration.
