Biography of Johann Sebastian Bach
Johann Sebastian Bach is regarded as the greatest German musician of church music. He reached the top of his career as kapellmeister in Köthen from 1717 until 1723. Throughout this period he had composed almost all of his piano, chamber and concert music. From 1723 on until he died he had been choir director of the St. Thomas Choir and music director in Leipzig. Today his sheer infinite works still is loved and admired all around the world. Heinrich Reimann's biography was published in 1912 and is now available as a miniature book for the first time. In the first volume of the new series on celebrated composers Bach's life and achievements are depicted colourfully.
